SWPF 2022 was prepared in Bali and held in three cities in a row Tangerang (2-10 July 2022), Surabaya (16-24 July), and finally in Jakarta (6-14 August 2022). Events in each city are painting exhibitions, painting workshops, talk shows, and painting competitions with a total prize of tens of millions of rupiah.

SW Indonesia’s Commitment to the Art Community

SW Indonesia partner Riki Afrianof stated that SWPF22 is an act of caring for SW Indonesia in the nation’s struggle to recover and rise from difficulties due to the impact of the pandemic. In 2021, SW Indonesia’s CSR is in the form of organizing a nine-month non-stop vaccination center to help the community be protected from the virus. This year the caring action is aimed at helping artists, culture, and the creative economy to recover and rise.

“Preparations for this painting festival will begin in July 2021 in Bali and are planned to be completed in August this year. It turns out that the CSR spirit of SW Indonesia, which was thought up last year, is in line with the theme of the 77th Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Recovering Faster, Rising Stronger,” said Riki Afrianof in his remarks during give prizes to the winners of the SWPF22 painting competition.

The Significance of Painting as an Art Form

SW Indonesia consists of Public Accounting Firm (KAP) Suharli, Sugiharto & Partners, Tax Consultant SW Hadibroto Consulting, and SW Solution Business Advisor. The people of SW Indonesia have found that from time to time, paintings have become a medium for delivering messages that have a broad impact and can reach across generations. Artists and connoisseurs of painting alike think creatively to interpret the painter’s message about the voice of the heart, mood, philosophy, history, wisdom, concern, ambition, hope, determination, or other meanings in painting.

We already have many examples of people healing by painting. We also see that painting lovers have their own me time and satisfaction by having them as a collection. Painting is also believed to build an environment with good mental health. In private spaces, paintings are displayed in offices, homes, private villas, or private galleries/museums. While in public spaces, we find paintings on display at airports, MRT stations, hotels, shopping centers, hospitals, or other public places.

SW Indonesia invites prominent developer Agung Podomoro Land Tbk to collaborate for a CSR program in the arts and culture in Jakarta. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk welcomed it by providing space for a painting exhibition complete with stage, facilities, and infrastructure at Neo Soho Mall. The public still has the opportunity to support painting by attending and enjoying the 2022 SW Painting Festival at Neo Soho Mall until August 14. (RO/OL-14)
