Audit Process
Consider any events or circumstances that may adversely affect the ability to plan and perform the audit engagement to reduce risk to an acceptably low level, including client integrity, business risks, regulatory compliance, and resource availability.
Obtain an understanding of the entity and its environment, including the entity’s internal control, to identify and assess the risks of material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, at the financial statement and assertion levels.
Obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence regarding the assessed risks of material misstatement through designing and implementing appropriate responses of those risks.
Ensure the adequate basis for a conclusion about the achievement of the overall objectives and the audit was performed in accordance with SPAP and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Form and communicate an independent audit opinion on the financial statements based on sufficient and appropriate audit evidence, in accordance with applicable standards.
